Signposted from SH2 at Kopuku Road near the Maramarua Golf Club. Follow the arrows to Schumaker Road and the forest entrance.
Classes: - Six classes of bikes are catered for from the sexy 60s to the naughty 90s, details of these are on the vinduronz website.
- No lights are required, though all machines must have effective mufflers and fuel systems.
Terrain: The bulk of the over 50 km course consists of cleared and graded clay tracks. Complementing this are some narrower single track trails under the big pines.
The planned course will consist of two 25km loops, which with fine weather may see the first loop repeated to make up 75 km total for riders in the Gold Grade.
If that sounds too much like hard work you can choose the Silver Grade at about 50 km with by-passes around the trickier obstacles.
Or you can simply trail ride the course.
